• I never reached out to someone with the sole purpose of making them my mentor. It happened organically. Here are the different ways I connected with my mentors:

  1. I had a question about their career which led to a call
  2. I pitched them some marketing ideas but we didn’t end up working together
  3. One of their connections liked my LinkedIn post, which led to them discovering my profile, and they loved my ‘About’ section
  4. A mentor connected me with someone else, who also became a mentor
  5. They loved my LinkedIn posts
