✅ DOs

• Research the person before texting them
• Introduce yourself
• Address the person properly with salutations
• Personalize the message
• Compliment the person
• Be as specific with your queries as possible
• Include a Call to Action
• Thank the person for their time
• Use bullet points and paragraphs wherever needed
• Proofread the text before sending
• Follow up a week later if there’s no response

❌ DON’Ts

• Text just “hey”, “hi”, “hello”, or "how are you?"
• Send inappropriate messages
• Be too friendly
• Follow up a few hours later
• Take it personally if someone doesn't respond to your message
