My old CV is at https://www.anushkakumar.com/cv
What most of us have is an “industry CV" that is not relevant and specific to research labs. Here’s how you can transform your industry CV into an academic one.
It must have the following sections:
Basic Info: Name, email ID, links to LinkedIn and Twitter accounts
Education: Degree, course, college, GPA, date of beginning, and date of completion
Research Experience: Research lab, university, PI’s name, and roles and responsibilities (be specific and quantify as much as possible).
P.S. It's completely okay if you don't have any research exp, everybody starts from somewhere :D
Skills: List skills relevant to all phases of research and indicate your level (basic, intermediate, advanced)
Posters and Oral Presentations: Mention the posters/papers you’ve presented at conferences either in person or virtually with the date and place
Additional Courses and Workshops: Write any additional courses you’ve taken or workshops you’ve attended (should be relevant to the research position)
Work Experience: Place, designation, and roles and responsibilities (be specific and quantify as much as possible)
Other sections you can include
Please remember that while having research exp is a plus, not having research exp isn't a minus, it's neutral
